What is body doubling?
Body doubling is a productivity technique where a person with ADHD works alongside another person — physically or virtually — to improve focus and task initiation. The presence of another person activates the social facilitation effect (Zajonc, 1965): nearby others improve performance on routine tasks. For ADHD brains, the external witness creates an accountability anchor that helps the nervous system sustain attention.
